I taught myself graphic design by working on a zine in the mid-90s, and it turned into a 30-year career. Whether doing commercial work at my day jobs or designing music packaging and t-shirts for bands, it has remained engaging and enjoyable.
I’ve always written. I have done a significant amount of music journalism – interviewing bands, reviewing records, writing essays. I’ve also conducted research and written content for a podcast I’ve been producing off and on for a number of years. More recently, I’ve focused on writing short fiction. I’ve published a handful of stories and am currently working on a short story collection.
Through all of that, I have recorded music and released albums under a variety of project names, with an international roster of labels, and ran a small record label of my own.
